Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Namaste! Today you will arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. A Friends Travel Services representative will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name and you will then be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi City Tour
This morning after breakfast first you will visit old Delhi. The Raj Ghat, Red fort & Jama Masjid Chandni chowk spice market largest spice market by Afternoon proceed to visit the New Delhi. The Qutub Minar, tallest stone tower in India, imposing India Gate and the Rastrapathi Bhawan, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Lotus Temple and, newly built Akshardham temple are of much significance. By evening return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra
This morning after breakfast you will drive to Mughal city Agra and check into your hotel. Enroot you may also visit Mathura-the birth place of Lord Krishana. This afternoon visit the Agra fort, built by the great Emperor Akbar, and the famous Taj Mahal-the symbol of love, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. You may also visit Dayal Bagh. By evening return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4: Agra to Jaipur
This morning after breakfast you will drive to the pink city of Jaipur, enroute you will visit the Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. On arrival check into your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel in Jaipur.
Day 5: Jaipur City Tour
These mornings after breakfast excursion to Amber Fort & Palace, located 12 kilometers from the center of the City. Just like the Emperors of a few centuries ago, enjoy the ascent up to the ramparts of the fort on top of a colorfully caparisoned elephant (jeeps are available instead of the elephants, if you so desire). The massive Fort complex was originally built by Raja Mansingh and is one of India’s finest examples of Rajput architecture. Explore the chambers and hallways, which are famous for their exquisite designs and handcrafted embellishments. Return to the valley beneath the Fort on your elephant or jeep and proceed back to thePink City.
Afternoon – enjoy a city tour of the walled city of Jaipur, including the magnificent City Palace. Visit Jantar Mantar (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the magnificent stone observatory built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728. After the observatory comes a photo opportunity of the ‘Hawa Mahal’ (Palace of the Wind). This intriguing facade was built in 1799 so that the ladies of the court could use its unique windows and observe the bustling bazaar, without being visible to the people on the streets. Continue the tour with an exploration of the City Palace, the former royal residence (a part of it is still occupied by the Royal family and is not accessible to the public), built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles. This immense complex also houses a number of museums that offer a large and impressive collection of miniature paintings, costumes, and armory.
After your exploration of the Pink City, that is a brief stop at a nearby venue, for demonstrations of turban and Sari tying. You can choose to learn the skills, if you are so inclined. By evening return to your hotel. Overnight in jaipur.
Day 6: Jaipur to Amritsar via Delhi by Train
Today you will be transferred back to Delhi and transfer to railway station to board the train to Amritsar. On arrival at Amritsar railway station, our representative will meet you with displaying your name card and transfer you to the hotel. overnight at hotel in Amritsar.
Day 7: Amritsar City Tour
This morning after breakfast visit the famous Golden Temple-the most important sikh shrine also known as Harmandir Sahib and Darbar Sahib. Then visit Jallianwala Bagh and in the afternoon visit India-Pakistan Attari-Wagah border. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. in the late evening you can visit again the famous Golden Temple in night. overnight at hotel in Amritsar.
Day 8: Amritsar to Delhi by Train for Onwards Journey
Today you will be transferred to railway station to board the train to Delhi for the onwards journey.upon arrival you will be transfer to Airport OR to hotel in Delhi.
